Trinity College's Instrumental Music Program fosters musical talent, personal growth, and excellence in performance.
The Instrumental Music Program at Trinity College offers students the opportunity to explore and develop their musical talents through personalised instruction and ensemble participation. This program nurtures a love for music and helps students achieve excellence in performance, fostering both individual growth and collaborative skills. Participation in this program is based on musical aptitude with intake subject to an interview.

Students can receive instruction from highly qualified musicians, many of whom maintain active performance careers.
Lessons are scheduled during normal school hours and operate on a rotating basis. Shared lessons are available for students in years 4 to 7 on select instruments, whilst individual lessons are offered in 30 or 40-minute sessions, depending on the instrument.
Students have access to tuition on a diverse range of instruments, including strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, guitar, voice, pipes and drums, piano, and pipe organ. This extensive selection allows students to explore and develop their musical talents across various genres and styles.
Trinity College offers a variety of large ensembles, including Wind Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Wind Band, String Orchestra, String Ensemble and the Pipes and Drums Band, as well as contemporary and jazz bands.
Our chamber groups encompass strings, woodwind, brass, classical guitar and percussion, providing opportunities for specialised ensemble playing. Additionally, students can join the Chorale, which enhances the rich musical landscape at the college.
