Science Laboratory Technician

Full time, Temporary position, to commence as soon as possible.

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Science Laboratory Technician at Trinity College.

This is a temporary leave replacement position with an immediate start for Term 1 2025. The Fixed Term concludes on the 11 April 2025.

The Science Laboratory Technician works under the guidance of the Head of Learning Area and works closely with the Science staff to ensure the science curriculum is delivered efficiently and safely through the year.

The Science Laboratory Technician is responsible for preparing the chemical, equipment and material, designing and constructing teaching aids and collecting and caring for living organisms in compliance with chemical, physical and biological laboratory practices and legislative requirements. They will organise preparation areas and classroom laboratories, ensuring a safe learning environment for students and staff. General maintenance of chemicals, equipment (including repairs) will also be regularly completed.

Successful applicants will also be required to participate in Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA)Colleges Limited and Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA Ltd) professional formation and accreditation processes.

Employment is conditional upon the applicant being prepared to apply for a Department of Education Criminal History Clearance and a valid Working with Children card must accompany the application.
