EDUCATION IN FAITH
The aim of our Religious Education Programme is to enable the children to integrate their personal faith with their daily lives. To achieve this, the Trinity College Junior School provides a range of opportunities for the boys to learn and share in our Catholic tradition, as well as to respond in faith.
The school bases its Religious Education Programme on the Perth Archdiocesan Primary Religious Units written by the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia. Various Feasts Days within the Catholic Church calendar are also studied and celebrated.
SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME
All children have the opportunity to prepare and receive the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. The College presents comprehensive programmes to prepare the children and their families for the reception of these sacraments.
CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME
The Confirmation Programme which is designed for the Year 6 students includes the whole community including the parents, teachers, students and the College Chaplain. It includes a home/family based component, a class retreat and classroom instruction, all of which are integrated, and when brought together, create a very successful programme in which all members of the Year 6 community grow in faith and understanding together. Parents and families are encouraged and welcome to be part of all religious celebrations, including masses, retreats, liturgies and assemblies.
