The Prefects of 2006 represent the very best traditions, values and principles of Trinity College. From its origin in 1894 as CBC to the present year, the College has had a proud tradition of outstanding student leadership.
I look forward to working with our student leaders and I am delighted with the enthusiasm and energy with which they have commenced their new role.

DESMOND YEO – HEAD PREFECT
Desmond Yeo has been a Trinity student since Year Four and, is what the College terms ‘a lifer’. He is full of many gifts and talents which are shared with all aspects of the College. He is highly respected by his peers and fellow students. After school he aspires to study at UWA either doing engineering and commerce, medicine or architecture.
His ambition in life is to be successful, but being successful does not simply mean being rich. Being successful is to be able to live comfortably or however you want to live and still lead a life that you want to and be happy. Desmond likes to travel, already having travelled to England twice, Europe and to New Zealand on music tours – one of which was a pilgrimage in 2000 with St Mary’s Cathedral Choir where they became the first Australian choir to sing at a Mass for Pope John Paul II in Rome.
Desmond has also travelled to Singapore many times, to Sydney for athletics, Adelaide for the Edmund Rice Schools’ Leaders Conference and just last year to Houston for the International Space School where he was one of two people chosen to represent Australia.
This year he has many visions for the College which he will work hard with the College community to achieve. He is a very busy man and always seems to find time for himself and to help others in the College.
In Year 12 he is studying Calculus, Applicable, English, Chemistry, Physics and Economics – all of which he enjoys. In addition to this, he is in the Chorale, Vocal Ensemble, Wind Orchestra, GIG and Music Ministry. He is a Cadre and also has his bronze medallion, senior First Aid and is a nationally accredited level one gymnastics coach.
Desmond works for the betterment of the College and it is an honour to work with him. |

LUKE ARMITAGE – DEPUTY HEAD PREFECT
Luke came to Trinity as a Year 8 student after attending Newman College in primary school. He is currently studying five TEE subjects and hopes to one day study law at university.
During his time at the College, Luke has been an active member of both the football and volleyball teams and has contributed greatly to the Quest Retreat as a roadie, Peer Ministry and was a member of the Cadre.
Luke enjoys Italian food and is into heavy metal music. His heroes are Pat Rafter, Will Ferrell and Super Mario.
His most previous memory at Trinity College is the time he spent in Mr Kosovich’s RE class in Year 11 with the many classic quotes that Mr Kosovich provided and his many references to Monaros. |

TOM ANTONIAZZI
Tom has been a member of the College since Year 8 and has become involved in many aspects of school life. He has won various academic awards and successfully represented Trinity in several debating competitions. He is Vice Captain of Bands and enjoys playing football for the College.
Tom hopes to take an active role as a Senior Leader this year and later commence studies at university. |

JOSEPH BRIERTY
Joseph has been an active member of College life, starting at the school in Year 8.
He is Captain of the 1st XI cricket and has represented the school in 2nd XVII football. After school he would like to travel to England to pursue a cricketing career.
Eventually he wishes to study human movement at UWA. |

CAMERON CHERUBINO
Cameron has been at the College since Year 4 (a ‘lifer’). He has been a member of the Rowing Club for five years and was a part of the winning Hamer Cup teams three years in a row. He has also represented the school in football and soccer.
One day he would like to have his own business. |

SEAN CHIA
Since his transition from St Augustine’s Primary School to Trinity as a Year 8 student, Sean has maintained a high level of achievement in his academic studies.
He has represented the College in tennis, hockey, athletics and debating.
Sean finds the simple company of his friends, amidst the complex challenges of school life, to be the source of his greatest happiness and fondest memories.
He wishes to travel the world in the very near future and hopes to pursue a medically orientated course next year. |

DANNY COYNE
Danny has been a member of the Trinity College community since Year 8. Throughout his time at the College he has participated in the Red Cross soup patrols, debating, 1st XVIII football and the cricket teams at the College.
Danny intends to do well at school this year and study Accounting at UWA next year.
His most memorable moments of his time at the College include the Alcock Cup win last season. |

MICHAEL DINH
Michael formerly attended Our Lady of Mercy before he started at Trinity in Year 8. He has been a great contributor to the Trinity College community, participating in 2nds in both the soccer and tennis teams.
His goals for this year are to get into the 1st teams and next year he hopes to be studying a pharmacist course at Curtin. |

JAMIE GOTTI
Jamie has been at Trinity College since Year 8. He tells me it’s been the best four years of his life, filled with irreplaceable memories.
He is an active participant in basketball, hockey, Eddy Rice Outreach and Quest.
He supports the Fremantle Dockers and assures me they will win a premiership… ..eventually!!
He looks forward to the challenge of working with students and staff to make Trinity College a better, more enjoyable place.
He is looking at studying Commerce at university but is not yet sure if that is the course he will pursue. |

TOM GRYTA
Tom began his time at the College as a Year 4 student in 1998. His future ambitions will hopefully see him studying primary school teaching at ECU, whilst continuing to umpire footy at whatever level possible.
The qualities he respects most in others include modesty, honesty and an accepting nature. The only regrets Tom has about his time at Trinity are paying a 100 metre penalty against the College in a 2nd XVIII match against Aquinas. Tom is another ‘lifer’ in the group of prefects. |

TRIAN ILIADIS
Trian has been a part of the Trinity community since Year 8. He was a Peer Minister and is a part of the 1st V Basketball team and athletics team. His fondest memory at Trinity College was winning the PSA Athletics carnival two years running.
His main goals in Year 12 are to do well in his studies and to finally win the Blackwood Cup from Aquinas. After graduating, he would like to attend university and further his basketball career. |

JARRHAN JACKY
Jarrhan moved here from Broome to attend Trinity College in Year 8. He was part of the Alcock Cup winning team in 2005 and participated in the successful athletics teams in 2004 and 2005. He has represented the College in 1st V basketball, 1st XVIII football, swimming and GIG.
His goal is to win the Alcock Cup back to back and beat Aquinas in the football season. He was a Peer Minister in Year 10 and is involved in a traineeship working in roof carpentry. |

JAMES McPHERSON
James joined the College as a Yr 8 student and has represented Trinity in both 1st XI hockey and cricket and was a Peer Minister in Year 10.
He is a person who values his mates at Trinity and is looking forward to Year 12.
In the future, James hopes to travel to England to pursue his cricket career and then return to continue studying. |

SAAD QAMAR
Saad entered Trinity College in Year 10. He believes one of the highlights of the school is the sense of cohesion within year groups and the opportunities on offer.
He enjoys tennis, cycling and fishing and, as a prefect, would like to be of help to others. |

BERNARD SNEEUWJAGT
Bernard came to the Trinity scene in Year 6 and since then has been a devoted TC warrior as a member of the Trinity 1st VII waterpolo, the swimming and school football teams.
He highly values the mates he has at Trinity and enjoys sharing stories with them.
Next year Bernard hopes to study Commerce at UWA before travelling to remote areas of Fiji in search of perfect surf. |

JUSTIN SOON
Justin has been at Trinity from Year 8 having previously attended St Columba’s Primary School. He has been a councillor each year and has participated in debating, the Soup Kitchen Patrol and has acted as both a Roadie and Peer Minister for the Quest retreats.
Justin enjoys long leisurely walks on the beach at sunset and, sadly, has no musical talent whatsoever.
Justin treasures most the time spent with his mates at Trinity who are the best blokes in Perth. |

MATTHEW STOCKTON
Matthew has been at Trinity since Year 8. He has enjoyed the challenge of being a Student Councillor and Peer Minister. He has represented the College in swimming, rowing and football.
As a prefect he aims to be a mentor to those around him and encourage them to enjoy their time at Trinity.
After completing Year 12, he hopes to attend Edith Cowan University and to one day return to Trinity as a qualified Design and Technology teacher |

RYAN TAYLOR
Ryan has been at the College since Year 8 and has been an avid member of Trinity after attending St Pius X for his primary education.
As a senior leader, Ryan sees it as his responsibility to teach the younger students what it means to be a TC Warrior.
After school, Ryan wants to study journalism at UWA. |

SCOT T WARD
Scott first attended Trinity College in Year 8 from Padbury Catholic. He is a member of the 1st V basketball and was a part of the winning Alcock Cup football team last year. Scott is a Special Minister of the Eucharist and a member of the Cadre.
His dream is to pass on the amazing Trinity College spirit to the future students.
On leaving the College, he will miss recess and lunchtimes with the TC Warriors the most. |

SCOTT WILSON
Scott has been an active member of the Trinity community since Year 8 and has been part of school activities such as Peer Ministry, Cricket Tour 05 and the Quest Retreat. Scott has represented the school since Year 10 in the 1st XI cricket team and plans to continue playing cricket after he leaves school.
His best memories at the College have been the Darlot Cup victory in 2005, but most of all are the times and jokes he has shared with his mates. |

MICHAEL WRIGHT
Since coming to Trinity during Year 9, Michael has been actively involved in all facets of College life. He has participated in numerous musical ensembles, and is Captain of the Bands for 2006. He is also a member of the senior cross-country team. Michael enjoys public speaking, and has represented the College at debating. Last year, he represented Trinity at State, National and International Model United Nations Competitions. Last year he was the only Western Australian to take part in the ABC Radio Program “Talkback Classroom”.
Michael urges all students to grasp the opportunities presented to them during their time at the College, and believes that participation is the key to experiencing the spirit of the school.
