Un Fair Day Raises Funds for Projects in India
Each November, Un-Fair Day brings our College together to raise funds for projects in India. Each Pastoral Care group organizes two stalls for the Fair either selling food or providing fun and entertainment. Students can throw a cream pie or a wet sponge at their favourite teacher, try their skills at various games, slip along a wet slippery slide or try to win money throwing darts at cards. This year a parent donated an old car to be demolished. The Junior School raised $650 with their Cake Stall at Recess the previous day, Mrs HOURSTON’s Year 9 PCG made over $500 selling Slushies and Ms PAGODA’s Year 11 PCG made over $400 selling drinks. Everyone enjoyed the time to have some fun in the middle of a very busy term and once again we were able to make a small contribution towards changing what is unfair about our world. We raised over $8000.00 for people in India who struggle each day to provide for their basic needs. Thank you to Mrs Eileen LANE for coordinating the day so well and to all the staff and students who worked hard on the day to make it such a great success.
